  Delicious burgers and tater tots! Similar taste to the original Royale with Cheese when they were just operating at the back next to a bar. Now they have their own shop, we're glad they're reopened and we got to try it.
  
  The location was a bit hard to find in a pretty old neighborhood in Point Loma. Seems like it's a spot known to locals but would be hard to find without Yelp for those who don't live nearby.
  
  The decor was cute, diner style, with some seating at the front and very back, and bar seating in the middle.
  
  We both got the signature burgers and the tater tots through yelp checkin! It was "small" but large enough to feed two people! Their burgers were still flavorful and juicy, just how we remembered them. It seems like the menu looked a bit different than before though.
  
  If we're in the area again, we would go back for more burgers!

  ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.
  
  Cocktails were great. Food was great.
  
  Tater tots were cooked to compete and utter perfection, and you MUST get the pretzel. Do yourself a favor and when you're in OB, give this place a shot; you will not be disappointed.

  I think I found the best burger in San Diego!
  
  The hubby and I visited Royale on a Saturday and were blown away with the quality and flavors of the burger.  
  
  We both ordered the Royale which was topped with a bacon and melty yumminess.  I added raw onions to mine instead of the caramelized ones.  I ate what I was able to and my hubby finished the rest for me.  The tots were super crispy, salty and piping hot and served with a garlic aioli.  The fries were good too but I think I'd order the onion rings instead next time.  
  
  To top it off, we shared the strawberry apple cobbler a la mode and left stuffed and happy.  
  
  Delicious food and great service coming out of Royale.  I'm just sorry I didn't find this gem sooner.

  Royale Burgers in San Diego, is severely underrated. This burger joint sits on a corner in Point Loma up on a hill away from the hustle and bustle. Often times during the week on happy hour this place will be empty. You might find yourself being the only one there beside the staff.
  
  However, don't let the lack of a crowd scare you away. Royale packs a punch with its Diner Burger, perfectly cooked to order, the right proportion of melted cheese and grilled onions with toasted buns evenly coated with spread. The diner burger is the perfect way to start an evening after work or casual engulf on a lazy weekend afternoon. Pair the burger with your choice of side, fries, tater tots, or Onion Rings, and it's a match made in heaven. Each side perfectly crispy and seasoned to perfection.
  
  The best part about this place is it's unbeatable happy hour dinner deal, one burger, one side, and any beer available on tap all for $15. Royale may not go out of your way for, but it is a place you go for a great burger. Next time you find yourself within range of its tasty food and charming aesthetic, treat yourself.
